up.id
How KIMP displays up.id names, the soulbound ENS subdomains for Verified Addresses, on the opt-in Verified Lane leaderboard.
up.id is a naming system for Verified Addresses on GIWA. Each name is an ENS subdomain of the form username.up.id. KIMP uses up.id for one purpose: showing a readable name on the Verified Lane leaderboard, for traders who choose to be shown.
up.id is not operated by KIMP. KIMP does not issue, reserve, transfer or revoke names.

Because a name is bound to a Verified Address and cannot move, a name on the leaderboard always refers to the same verified trader. It cannot be bought, rented or passed between accounts.
How KIMP resolves names#
KIMP resolves names through standard ENS resolution. It does not keep its own name registry.
- 1The app reads the leaderboard ranking from on-chain position and settlement events.
- 2For each address that has opted in, it performs an ENS reverse lookup.
- 3It then performs a forward lookup of the returned name and checks that it resolves back to the same address.
- 4If both lookups agree, the
username.up.idname is displayed. Otherwise the shortened address is displayed.
The forward check prevents an address from displaying a name that does not point to it. The app also re-checks isVerified for each displayed address, so a revoked Verified Address falls back to a shortened address even before its name is revoked.
Opt-in#
The leaderboard is opt-in. By default a Verified Lane trader is not listed at all.

The opt-in is recorded on-chain by calling setLeaderboardOptIn(bool) on KimpVerifiedGate. It is a public, reversible flag tied to the address. Calling it with false removes the address from the leaderboard at the next refresh. The flag stores nothing except the boolean. See Interfaces.
What is and is not shown#
- Shown: rank, name or shortened address, realized P&L in USD for the period, and number of settled contracts.
- Not shown: collateral balances, open positions in progress, or any data from Upbit.
- Never collected: legal name, Upbit account identifiers, KYC data. KIMP reads only a boolean from DojangScroll.
Rewards and names#
Trading-rewards eligibility depends on the Verified Address attestation, not on up.id and not on leaderboard opt-in. A verified trader who never registers a name and never opts in receives the same rewards as one who does. See Limits and rewards.
