Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the KIMP contributors ("we", "us") handle information when you visit the KIMP website, its documentation and interface (the "Website"). The Website is designed to process as little information as possible. It forms part of the Terms of Use.

1. Summary#

• There are no user accounts. You never create a profile or give us a name, email or phone number.
• The Website sets no cookies.
• The Website uses no analytics, no advertising pixels, no fingerprinting and no third-party tracking scripts.
• We never receive KYC or identity data. The Verified Lane reads only a boolean from the chain.

2. Information we do not collect#

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, government identifier, date of birth, payment card details or any other identity information. We do not collect your seed phrase or private keys, and we will never ask for them.

3. Server logs from our hosting provider#

When you load the Website, your browser connects to the servers of our hosting provider. Like any web host, the provider automatically records standard request logs. These may include your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser's user-agent string.

These logs are processed by the hosting provider to deliver the Website, keep it secure and prevent abuse. We do not combine them with other data, and we do not use them to profile visitors.

4. Market data requests#

Some pages, including the live index preview on the /index page, display market data. To produce it, the Website's server requests public market data from public APIs, such as those of source exchanges and FX data providers. These requests are made by the server, not by your browser. They contain no information about you. Exchanges and data providers do not learn who is viewing the Website.

5. Wallet connections and on-chain data#

If you connect a wallet, the Website reads your public wallet address from your wallet software in your browser, in order to display balances and prepare transactions. The Website does not store your address on our servers.

Transactions you sign are submitted to the GIWA blockchain. Blockchain data, including your wallet address, balances, positions and transaction history, is public by design and can be viewed by anyone. We cannot modify or delete on-chain data.

Your wallet software, and the RPC endpoint it uses, may process your IP address and address data under their own privacy terms. We do not control them.

6. Verified Lane and Dojang#

The Verified Lane checks whether a wallet address holds a GIWA Dojang Verified Address attestation issued by Upbit Korea. The check is a call to DojangScroll.isVerified, which returns only true or false. No personal data is stored on-chain by KIMP, and we never receive KYC data from Upbit, Dunamu, GIWA or anyone else.

If you opt in to the Verified Lane leaderboard, your up.id name is resolved from public on-chain ENS records and displayed next to your results. You can opt out at any time.

7. Local storage in your browser#

The Website may store non-identifying preferences, such as a selected asset or the last connected wallet type, in your browser's local storage. This data remains on your device, is not sent to us, and can be cleared through your browser settings.

8. Retention#

We do not maintain databases of visitor information. Hosting provider server logs are retained by the provider for a limited period for operational and security purposes and then deleted in line with the provider's standard practices. On-chain data is permanent and outside our control.

9. Legal basis and sharing#

To the extent data protection law applies, server logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interests in operating a secure website. We do not sell, rent or share personal information. We may disclose information only where required by law.

10. Your rights#

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because we hold almost no personal information, most requests can be answered simply. We will help you with any request relating to hosting logs where we are able to. We cannot alter public blockchain records.

11. Children#

The Website is not directed to anyone under 18, or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction if higher.

12. Changes#

We may update this Privacy Policy. Updates take effect when published on the Website. If a change materially expands the data we process, we will also note it on X at @KimpGiwa.
